How does a race work?
You start on one Wikipedia article and have to reach a target article using only the links inside each page. In a timed race, reach it before the clock runs out; in a pages race, reach it in as few pages as you can. Back returns to the previous page, and Find searches the page you're on, when a race allows them.
What's the daily race?
Everyone gets the same pair each day, with five minutes and Back and Find allowed. A new one starts at midnight in your time zone. Play it in the app or at wikiracer.app/daily.
How do I challenge a friend?
Finish a race and tap Challenge a Friend. Your friend gets a link to the same race with your result to beat. With WikiRacer installed, the link opens the race in the app; otherwise it plays in their browser. In the app you can also paste a challenge code or link into Challenge on the home screen.
A link didn't open the article I expected
Links follow Wikipedia, so a link may lead to a page with a different name (a redirect) or a page that lists several articles with the same name. If an article doesn't load, check your connection and tap Retry. If something keeps going wrong, email us the start and target articles and we'll look into it.
What does WikiRacer Pro include?
In the iPhone app, Pro adds pages races, 10-minute races, the choice to turn Back and Find on or off, and no ads. WikiRacer Pro is bought through the App Store.
How do I restore a purchase or cancel Pro?
In the app, go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases. To cancel a subscription, use Settings > Manage Subscription in the app, or your Apple Account's Subscriptions settings on your iPhone.
How do I delete my data?
Clear your game history in the app under Settings > Clear Game History, or delete the app to remove everything stored on your device. On the website, clear this site's data in your browser. See the privacy policy for what each collects.
Is WikiRacer made by Wikipedia?
No. WikiRacer is an independent game that uses Wikipedia's articles, which are available under CC BY-SA 4.0. It isn't affiliated with Wikipedia or the Wikimedia Foundation.
